Bill Clinton is smart !

Bill Clinton has been in Africa for several days working on behalf of his Foundation fighting HIV/AIDS. In Dakar, he paid a tribute to the French commitment to helping Africa. There, the former US president praised France for its financial support through the agency Unitaid. He met Philippe Douste-Blazy, the former French health minister who is in charge of coordinating this aid today.
"It is possible to honour the World Health Organization guidelines, in my opinion, only because of Unitaid and the government of France. (...) It may be the single most important contribution of France to the rest of the world since the end of the Second World War." 

It is true that the French government gave most money to Unitaid, which is a major partner of the Clinton Foundation. United finances the purchase of drugs to fight AIDS, and it is financed mainly by a tax on airlie tickets introduced by the French president Jacques Chirac in 2006.

 
But what is new is that the former president finally agreed to discuss the primary campaign during an ABC interview with Kate Snow.
At first, he said that he did not want to comment upon an "issue which is who should be elected in November." But then he defended the role he played in his wife's campaign and criticized once again its biased media coverage.  
When asked, "Do you personally have any regrets about what you did, campaigning for your wife?" Clinton, at first, answered, "Yes, but not the ones you think. And it would be counterproductive for me to talk about." But then he added, "There are things that I wish I'd urged her to do. Things I wish I'd said. Things I wish I hadn't said."
As this video shows, he displayed no great enthusiasm for the candidacy of his wife's victorious rival. We even have the feeling, listening to him, that he does not want Obama to win next fall, but can we really say it is very surprising ? 

When he is asked : "Do you think Obama is ready to become president", he answers : "Nobody is ever ready to be president"! So it is clear he does not trust the Illinois senator and does not believe he is fit for the job. And then, as if he realized his judgement may have been a little severe, he justifies himself : "I personally learnt a lot during my first year at the White House" !

So nobody could call that unequivocal support ! And now no doubt remains : Obama can't count on Bill during the official campaign, from September to November (if unfortunately the Democratic Party clinged to its first choice in Denver). The ex-president will not help him campaigning for him. And Obama has much to lose, because Bill Clinton could have enabled him to win the support of these voters he has failed to convince so far : working-class people and women.

When the former president publicly alludes to the lack of experience of the candidate, his statement will be heard by millions of voters who have the same opinon and who will tell themselves : we're right not to trust that man ; even Bill Clinton does not. Bill Clinton was younger than Obama when he was elected in 1992, but he had a ten-year experience as Arkansas governor, which is solid record on a CV.

Lastly, in this interview, Bill Cinton gives the following precision : "I am not a racist. I've never made a racist comment and I never attacked him  personally."

Frankly speaking, I find it a pity that he should have felt the necessity to repeat this again ! Who has ever believed he was " a racist", except silly people, idiots, or dumbs ? Who has ever believed this insulting, offending, unbearable propaganda orchestrated by the Obama mafia ?

Shall we remind everybody of all the things Bill Clinton did for minorities ? Who has forgotten his melting pot cabinet, all the members from minorities he appointed to key positions ? African-Americans' standard of living had never been so high, it improved regularly during his presidency.

So please, give him a break. Bill Clinton is a SMART man and politician. He has done a lot of work since he left the White House. He has devoted himself entirely to a great cause, showing extraordinary qualities like generosity, humanity, altruism.
Bill Clinton, a racist ? So what was he doing in Africa over the last few days ?
Has anybody asked all the African families who suffer from AIDS if they would call him a racist ? What about all these African children who will be able to survive thanks to him ?

I wonder how the American black minority became so blind. They were deceived by an unknown politician who so far has shown little interest in the fate of his own community, as three young people from Florida reminded him a few days ago.
So, Mister Bill Clinton, come back quickly please !
